Pa Doua Her, an Augsburg freshman and 2002 TRIO/Student Support Services Summer Bridge alumna, was one of the recipients of the Mid-America Association of Educational Opportunity Programs Personnel (MAEOPP)/St. Paul Companies scholarship. This is a four-year scholarship of $1,500 each year.

Only one high school or college student involved in a Trio program was selected from each of the eight state chapters. Her was selected to represent the Minnesota Chapter. This is a competitive scholarship where only four recipients are selected from the MAEOPP region, which includes 10 states, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.
Scholarships were awarded based on grades, involvement in TRIO programs, multicultural activities and commitment to diversity, community involvement and service learning involvement.
