Augsburg College Convocation series to present Theater Mu
Theater Mu will present taiko, the ancient Japanese
expression of communal unity, and a theater piece exploring issues of
Asian and Asian American identity, as part of Augsburg College’s
Convocation series on Thursday, March 19. The presentation begins at 11:15
a.m. and will be held in the Hoversten Chapel, Foss Center on the Augsburg
College Campus.
The critically acclaimed Theater Mu, now in its ninth year, is the premier
Asian American theater company in the Midwest. Their mission is to transform
the perspective, experience, and understanding of the community and culture
in which we live through the envisioning of theater as a total sensory
experience, merging ancient forms, traditions and stories with contemporary
ones.
