KARE 11 news anchor at Augsburg Friday to sign copies of his new children's book
KARE 11 television weekend news anchor Rick Kupchella will be on the Augsburg campus on Friday, Nov. 14, from 4-5 p.m., in the Christensen Center lobby for a special autograph session of his new children's book "Tell Me What We Did Today?" His book for children ages 4-8, illustrated by Warren Hanson, known for the best-selling "Peef" and "A Cup of Christmas Tea," is about finding and celebrating the moments in a child's life - every day. According to the publisher, "It is a fun and creative way for parents to capture the key moments of day-to-day life with their children."
Kupchella started at KARE 11 in early 1989 as a general assignment reporter. He quickly moved into investigative journalism and special projects before being named weekend anchor in June 1995. He has been recognized nationally and internationally for his outstanding work in journalism. Kupchella is married with two children, and besides writing, spends his time traveling and taking photos.
"Tell Me What We Did Today?" is published by Tristan Publishing and sells for $15.95. Copies of the book are available at the Augsburg Bookstore.
