Augsburg at the 16th Annual Peace Prize Forum
The 16th Annual Peace Prize Forum was held Feb. 20-21 at St. Olaf College in Northfield. Augsburg College, Augustana College, Concordia College, Luther College and St. Olaf College sponsor the Forum, which is held in cooperation with the Norwegian Nobel Institute. The Forum is rotated yearly among the five participating colleges.
Many Augsburg students, faculty and staff members participated in this year's Forum titled, "Striving for Peace: Roots of Change," which honored the work of President Jimmy Carter, 2002 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate.
Next year's Peace Prize Forum will be held at Augsburg College, Feb. 11 and 12, 2005, and will honor 2003 Nobel Peace Prize recipient Shirin Ebadi.
