President of Science Museum to speak on campus

Dr. Eric J. Jolly, president of the Science Museum of Minnesota, will be on campus Thursday, April 14, 7p.m. in the East Commons to speak at the Augsburg CSEMS seminar. The focus of his talk will be “Creating the Next Generation of America’s Scientific Workforce.”
Dr. Jolly is known for his contributions to mathematics and science education for his work with the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Association of Science Technology Centers, the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering, the National Council for Teachers of Mathematics, and the National Science Teachers Association. He also serves on numerous national advisory boards and was the founder of the National Institute of Affirmative Action.
Dr. Jolly’s visit is sponsored by Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College Outreach Center and the Augsburg College NSF CSEMS program.
