Janet Horvath, Minnesota Orchestra cellist and author, on campus
Janet
Horvath, cellist from the Minnesota Orchestra and author of "Playing
(Less) Hurt: an injury prevention guide," will lead a workshop, Monday,
October 24, 12 p.m., in Sateren Auditorium, for those with body pain related
to their work. Horvath's book chronicles her story of pain and rehabilitation
as a member of the Minnesota Orchestra. The workshop will give participants
approaches for healthy pain management and recovery.
Monday evening at 7 p.m. in Sateren Auditorium Horvath will perform a guest recital with violinist Helen Chang and pianist Sonja Thompson. This performance is free and open to the public.
