The gateway to Augsburg and the community
Even
the threat of rain and cloudy skies could not dampen the spirits and celebration
of the groundbreaking ceremony for the Oren Gateway Center, which took
place Friday, Sept. 8. A crowd, which included about 80 students
from the Cedar Riverside School, was on hand to celebrate this historic
event. Following the ceremony, people moved across the street onto the
Augsburg lawn for a festive celebration of food and games.
This was not only an Augsburg celebration, but also one for the surrounding community. President Paul Pribbenow told the audience, “The neighbors around us have helped make Augsburg a great place.”
