'Hedda Gabler' by Henrik Ibsen opens Nov. 3
The Augsburg College Theatre Arts Department opens its season with a play by Henrik Ibsen, “Hedda Gabler.” Directed by Martha Johnson, “Hedda Gabler” is a revolutionary portrait of a brilliant but frustrated woman living in a stifling, male-dominated world. The year 2006 marks the centennial of the death of this great Norwegian playwright. Augsburg celebrates its strong Norwegian roots and joins in the worldwide commemorations of Ibsen’s great achievements as a dramatist.
The play runs Nov. 3, 4, 9, 10 and 11 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 5 and 12 at 2 p.m. in the Tjornhom-Nelson Theater, Riverside and 22nd Aves. For tickets and more information call: 612-330-1257.
