Augsburg loses well-known professor

Mitchell, well-known professor of English at Augsburg, passed away Thursday,
Aug. 17 at the age of 66. Mitchell joined the faculty of Augsburg in 1968.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from Maryville College and a master’s
degree in English from the University of Tennessee.
He is survived by his wife, Jean and children Judith and Nathan of Minneapolis.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Sept. 8, 3:30 p.m., in Hoversten Chapel. A reception in the Foss Atrium will follow the service.
