Spring theatre production 'Metamorphoses'
Tickets are still available for the Augsburg College Theatre Department’s mainstage production of “Metamorphoses,” written by Mary Zimmerman and directed by Darcey Engen.
The play “Metamorphoses” is based on Ovid’s ancient myths and uses contemporary language and imagery to reveal the joys and sorrows of humankind.
Staged around a pool of water and on aerial fabrics, the play engages the human need for imagination and theatre. The visceral use of the theatrical staging, modern narrative, and ancient legend ignites deep reflection on the past while speaking to audiences today.
Performances: April 20, 21, and 22 at 7 p.m.; April 23 at 2 p.m.
Tickets: $2 Augsburg College Students; $8 ACTC faculty, staff, and students; $10 general public.
