Distinguished Contributions to Teaching and Learning Annual Recognition 2007 Awards Announced
The Distinguished Contributions to Teaching and Learning Annual Recognition 2007 Awards were announced this week.
Awards were based on evidence of student learning and student satisfaction provided by students and peers, weighted appropriately for each of the three areas of excellence. The winners for 2007 are:
Teaching: Doug Green, Department of English
Mentoring/Advising: Susan O’Connor, Department of Education
Service to Students: Lois Olson, Director, Center for Service, Work and Learning
These awards recognize exemplary work by faculty and staff in support of teaching and learning at Augsburg College. Up to three awards are available annually in the areas of teaching, advising/mentoring, and service to students, thus reflecting the breadth of contributions important for a transforming education. Each award carries a stipend of $1,000 as well as public recognition and celebration.
The awards are presented by The Center for Teaching and Learning, the Office of the Vice President of Academic Affairs and the Dean of the College.
