Bill Green likely to continue running Minneapolis schools
Augsburg Associate History Professor Bill Green is excited over the prospect of continuing his role as superintendent of the Minneapolis schools. Early indications are that he will.
Although the final decision won’t be made until Tuesday, five out of six school board members expressed positive reaction to the support of Green by the public.
Green stepped into his current role after the forced resignation of Thandiwe Peebles. Previously he had served two terms on the school board.
Professor Green has been at Augsburg since 1991. Courses he has taught include American Legal History, History of Civil Rights, Minnesota History, History of African American Religion, The African American Experience, and History of African American Education.
